My buddy Big Binder is taking the Eat Local challenge in Grand Rapids and I solute her. I love to support local businesses and that would include restraunts and produce made right in our own backyard. I think that is why I love Horrocks because they seem to carry a lot of locally made produce and products. I have not taken the full blown challenge but I can rightly say that I have bought local meat in the last week, locally produced milk, eaten tomatoes from my own garden, eaten onions from a farm share crop, bought my first batch of Honey Crisp apples, bought from Frito’s, and recycled/sold lots of junk at the Grand Rapids Press Garage Sale today! So I am doing my part bit by bit to support the local economy and recycle too. Click here on Big Binder’s Toot Toot blog for great local products that she got donated as prizes for you to win just for leaving her a comment.
